We Didn't Want to Go Home Yet!

So our trip to the Carolinas is over, but returning home gave us a bit of the blues...so we decided to take advantage of our Thousand Trails membership and booked a lovely camp ground near our house! (Yes, we really did!) We just weren't ready to come home yet! We all were exhausted from the non stop action from the FPV Drone event, then getting home in time for the kiddo to take his state testing in person, we realized, we never truly, "glamped" at all.

The poor rv was simply a place to lay our heads after a long day. We never got to cook, grill, or utilize many things associated with camping.

So we booked a week at a local rv park & it was a blessing! Right across the way are 6 kids for my son & dog to play with! Jackpot! He's been playing from sun up to sun down! We met their parents & everyone's super cool. They even invited us over for a drink! Nice!

We've noticed there's a motley crew of rv'ers, including residents, who evidently tend to yell at kids for playing outside.... this is challenging!

Fortunately, the other kid's parents are working here at the rv Park & the dad is going to give the 'Karen," a little "karma!" I Love it!

I didn't think we'd encounter any issues like this, but there's always that one person. I told my son not to mind her, but stay away, because he's not doing anything wrong. He's not on her site, he's just playing with other kids and doing what kids do; play!

Other than this, things have been wonderful! Most of the folks are very nice & we're finally getting our camper set up the way we want it to function for us.

A few small investments are necessary, but since we're on a budget, we're prioritizing everything. So comfy outside chairs and tables will be purchased in the near future!

Our next big endeavor will be to Pennsylvania, where we will be workamping (working & rv'ing.) I'll be working remotely for a friend's business & hubby has an 8 week job up there. This is going to be our entire summer vacation. I'm already excited & we're still at a camp!
