Planning our First Boondocking Trip....wth is Boondocking?!?

Being that I have never RV'd before in my life and I'm completely new to this whole RV lifestyle, I literally had to Google what the heck boondocking was! (I'm not scared to be honest folks!) So if you are anything like me, and need to know what this term is, boondocking is when you are in your rv, camping "primitively," in a sense; using no electricity hook up, water hook up, sewage or any of that "luxurious" stuff!

You are relying solely upon a generator or inverter for power, which of course costs gas money , solar if ya got it, but its EXPENSIVE (for us right now, at least,) However, nowadays, gas is so expensive!! Nonetheless, while Boondocking, you are also relying on your propane tanks for heat, as well as hot water for showers, dishes, as well as the stove and oven! Then you have to worry about your water tanks, because this is how you wash your hands, dishes, showers, everything! This is where it's going to get tricky!

I am very nervous about all of this because, I heard that you cannot really rely on the levels that the RV sensors provides...well that stinks! In that case, what the heck is the purpose of those stupid monitors anyways? Lol! Fortunately, my hubby is extremely smart with things like this, so I am going to rely on him to make those mistakes, lol, I shouldn't say "mistakes", I really should say "learning experiences". *Snicker*

So we are going to begin our journey in South Carolina where we will have full hook up and amenities in order to top off everything and make sure we will be OK for approximately 3 days of complete boondocking for a FPV drone event for my son and husband's sponsors. This is going to be very exciting for the entire family! Me, however, I am petrified inside lol!

I'll be writing again about some killer finds I got bargain hunting at Ross...my boys have a joke that I need to go to every Ross that I see...its really because they're all a bit different & you can score some epic stuff besides clothes for a mega bargain!
