Our New (to us) RV!

Sorting through the myriad of options, lengths, weight, pop-out or none, bunks, bathrooms, storage, and every kind of ridiculous thing you have to keep in mind when choosing the perfect RV, was INSANE, to say the least. We're not small people, and neither isv the dog, so the right space became, as a result, more expensive! It was an overwhelming experience "researching," as hubbs called it, between YouTube channels and various RV Stores. It was absolutely insane to see what our budget had to offer versus what we actually got for our $15k-20k budget, lol! We sifted through the tiniest pull behinds where we just bumped into each other just to look around, others with the smell of mothballs and outdated pepto bismol pink wallpaper, when we realized very quickly that we had to up our budget a little bit in order to accommodate ourselves, the kiddo, and the dog comfortably. We knew we needed to purchase an RV that offered some kind of creature comforts that reminded us of a home, not a box on wheels with a refrigerator.

Ironically, we found a "used" 24 ft rv that was still in the detailing department. It was a fresh trade in! We looked inside, dodging 2 detailers, and STILL had room to check out the entire RV thoroughly. This was it! It was a 2021 Forest River Salem cruise lite 24. We put a deposit on her that day!

Stay tuned for how we prepared for a minimalist life, and our "trial run" story!
