2 Days Into Our First Trip...

Being the kiddo is still in school, I've opted to continue his eschool to give us more freedom to roam. (Literally) I've been doing this with him since the pandemic (2nd grade) and bare knuckled it through 3rd grade. I cried that year many times, and it was also his first year of state assessment testing. I felt defeated after that year, but after getting a manilla envelope in the mail for kiddo getting honor roll, I had a big sense of accomplishment to continue into 4th grade. Yeah, I'm nuts, lol!

So we're currently set up on the side of a mountain in South Carolina, and after just saying, "screw it," and setting the RV sideways on the site, we've settled in. (Sort of)

One of the gazillion tasks to get set up to camp includes hooking up water to your RV, if where you're camping provides it, of course. Fortunately, before we boondock, or dry camp over the weekend, we decided to take advantage of our Thousand Trails free package that was included with our purchase of the RV. Which I must say, is friggin AWESOME for us week at a time warriors lol! So we hooked up the fresh water hose, made sure pressure was reading right, and turned on the water pump....it started to make a super funky noise & hubby started to get annoyed.

We had no water! So I put myself on hold with the handy dandy tech service I paid an exorbitant amount of money for, because we're new, I got a technician on the line.

I explained to him how we had no water coming into the rv. He told me I must have a clog. A clog in the pipes of a relatively new rv that worked just fine a week ago? We hung up very frustrated & I thought that maybe it'd take a while to build the pressure initially due to the incline....I was right after 30 hours, we had water in the kitchen & bath.

The kiddo and I went about our normal routine in the morning with school, and hubbs cleaned out the sewer tank & then took the dog for a walk. A few minutes later, the kiddo & I started hearing an odd sound. I looked towards the bathroom, where the door was closed, and there was water pouring out of it!

I ran in the bathroom, and water was over flowing from the toilet...yes...the shitter!! I grabbed every towel that was close, opened the door & started to get the water out the door and not into the test of the rv. I sent the kiddo to find hubbs...its barely been 24 hours! This is epic shit...literally! We celebrated the blunder with exploring a 200ft waterfall & getting some amazing BBQ and treats from a local bakery! What a sweet way to end the poopoo morning!
